A wedding is one of the most significant events in a person's life- and the food served is one of the most enduring memories guests take home. For couples in the Bay Area who want to honor their South Indian heritage or simply offer their guests an extraordinary culinary experience, House of Tiffins offers a catering service designed to make your wedding day as memorable as it is meaningful.
Why South Indian Food Is Perfect for Weddings
South Indian cuisine has a long tradition of being served at celebrations. The dishes are naturally abundant, communal, and designed to feed large groups with warmth and generosity. From elaborate rice varieties and curries to fresh-made dosas and indulgent sweets, the cuisine offers a full, satisfying spread that works for every course of a celebration.
Beyond tradition, South Indian food is also highly inclusive. The vast majority of our catering menu is vegetarian, with extensive vegan and gluten-free options. In a diverse wedding setting, this inclusivity matters- every guest should feel seen and fed.
Our Wedding Catering Formats
We offer three catering formats that work beautifully for weddings, depending on the size and nature of your event.
For an unforgettable experience, our Live Dosa Truck brings the full food truck to your venue, with our team cooking fresh dosas to order in front of your guests. It is interactive, theatrical, and a guaranteed talking point. Minimum 50 guests.
Our Live Dosa Station offers the same live cooking experience in a more compact, versatile setup- ideal for indoor venues, banquet halls, or ceremonies where a full truck is not practical.
For elegantly presented, ready-to-serve spreads, our Catering Trays deliver beautifully packaged portions of our most celebrated dishes, from millet biryanis and curries to sweets and beverages.
Menu Highlights for Weddings
Our full catering menu- available at hottiffins.com/cateringmenu- includes a broad selection of live dosas, signature millet dishes, rice varieties, sambar and rasam, curries, snacks, and a dedicated sweets menu featuring traditional South Indian desserts including Rasamalai, Ghee Mysore Pak, and Millet Pal Payasam.
Custom menus are available for all events. We work closely with each couple to ensure the food reflects their story, their guests, and their vision.
How to Start the Conversation
We recommend reaching out at least 4 to 6 weeks before your event. Submit a catering request through our website and we will schedule a call to discuss your date, guest count, venue, dietary requirements, and menu preferences. From there, we handle everything — from menu alignment and taste-testing to logistics on the day.
Your wedding should be a day to remember. Let us take care of the food.
